WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush, under fire over the treatment of CIA detainees, on Friday ordered that agency interrogators comply with Geneva Conventions against torture.
This is an admission that the CIA, a US agency, was not in compliance until now. Otherwise, why issue an order mandating what was already required under international law? Bush, like most rich American fascists, thinks he is above the law unless he chooses to comply with it out of the supposed goodness of his heart.
